Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 07/22/2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Remembr ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application (the "App"), a shared reminder board service that allows users to create, share, and manage reminders with other users.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

We do not collect precise GPS location or your contacts or browsing history. Google AdMob may infer an approximate, non-precise location from your IP address for ad-serving purposes; see Section 3.2 for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 To Provide the App

2.2 We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not directly use your account or reminder content for advertising purposes.

2.3 Advertising

The App displays ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may use advertising identifiers and device/usage data (described in Section 1.2) to:

If you decline personalized advertising, or where required by law, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your advertising identifier or app activity ("non-personalized" or "contextual" ads).

3. How Information Is Shared

3.1 With Other Users

When you join or are invited to a shared board, other members of that board can see your display name, profile picture, and the reminders/content you post to that board. Do not share boards with people you do not want to see this information.

3.2 With Service Providers

We use the following third-party service providers to operate the App:

You can review Google's privacy practices here: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can review how Google uses information from apps that use its services here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities.

3.4 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have.

We do not share your information with data brokers or any third party for marketing purposes unrelated to displaying ads within the App.

4. Data Storage and International Transfers

Your data is stored and processed using Google's Firebase and Google AdMob infrastructure, which may store data on servers located in the United States or other countries where Google operates data centers. By using the App, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. Reminder and board content is retained until you or another board owner deletes it, subject to app limits and cleanup rules. Subscription records may be retained as needed for entitlement, accounting, security, and fraud-prevention purposes. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, including profile images, board images owned by you where reasonably possible, app data, and social records where applicable, except where retention is required for legal, security, payment, or fraud-prevention purposes. Advertising identifiers are retained and controlled according to Google AdMob's own policies and your device-level ad settings, not by us directly.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the App serves ads through Google AdMob, and AdMob prohibits serving personalized ads to users known to be children, we do not knowingly permit children under 13 to use the App. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at remembr.support@gmail.com.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or restrict the processing of your personal information. You can delete your account directly within the App via Settings -> Delete Account, or by contacting us at remembr.support@gmail.com.

You can also control ad personalization through:

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Deleting your account will remove your profile information and personal data from our active systems, subject to the retention exceptions described in Section 5. Note that content you contributed to shared boards may remain visible to other board members unless separately removed, since it is shared content within a collaborative board. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription; you must manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting your account does not reset your device-level advertising identifier; you can reset or limit that separately in your device settings.

9. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and Firebase's built-in security infrastructure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Push Notifications

The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send you push notifications related to reminders, recurring reminders, deadlines, streak restore prompts, friend requests, board shares, board completions, assignments, and shared board activity. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings, and some notification categories can be controlled in the App's settings.

11. App Tracking Transparency & Ad Personalization

Because the App uses Google AdMob to serve ads, and this may involve using device identifiers for tracking across apps and websites, the App requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission on iOS before accessing your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking purposes.

You can change your tracking permission at any time in your device's Settings app (iOS: Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Tracking). On Android, you can manage ad personalization through your device's Google Ads Settings.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy, and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.

13. Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please contact us at: remembr.support@gmail.com

14. Region-Specific Disclosures

For California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We collect identifiers, account credentials, user-generated content, and, through our use of Google AdMob, advertising/device identifiers used to serve and measure ads. Our use of AdMob for ad personalization may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information for money.

You have the right to opt out of this sharing. You can exercise this right by limiting ad tracking in your device settings, declining tracking when prompted (iOS ATT), or by contacting us at remembr.support@gmail.com.

For EU/UK/EEA Residents (GDPR)

Our legal basis for processing your data is performance of a contract for core App functionality, and consent for optional features such as profile picture upload and personalized advertising. Where required, we (or our advertising partner) will request your consent before using your data for personalized ads. You may withdraw consent at any time through your device settings or any in-app consent tool. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
